A river is a natural watercourse, usually fresh water, flowing towards an ocean, a lake, a sea, another river. River is part of the hydrological cycle. Water within a river is generally collected from precipitation through a drainage basin from surface runoff and other sources such as groundwater recharge, springs, and the release of stored water in natural ice or snow packs.
River is very important, why? it is because we need water to drink, water our plants to be able grow them well, a water irrigation for our agriculture. It is a place where tourist can cruise and enjoy the beauty of nature. And it is also be useful by means of transportation of small ships.
In older civilization, river is very important 'cause river is the one who gave them fresh water for drink, a water for their plants, and a food for them to live, like the river Ganges in India, it is their most sacred river to Hindus and it is also the lifeline to millions of Indians who live along its course and depend on it on their daily needs.
In agriculture, river is very important because it provides water in every farm and fertile the soil. It supplies water in any crops and without it farming is impossible.

Useful to any needs in means of water supply for both human and animals, for farming, mining and more. So we must cherish and take a good care in every rivers here on earth.
